General Information
William Crawford Intermediate contains grades 6-8 and is a beautiful facility that is attached to a brand new high school addition. We have loved the benefits of having the entire preK-12 district together in one main building as it brings great opportunities for our little and big eagles alike. Our 6-8 grades contain approximately 240 students with whom we work hard to help transition from elementary to high school, learning responsibility, self-worth, and good moral character. Academics are a priority, and homework is found to be necessary to help practice and reinforce classroom concepts. With guidance and support, we believe every child can be successful.
We have several incentive and positive behaviour programs that encourage our students to do their best in and out of the classroom. Our BUG Program, Bringing Up Grades, allows students the chance to earn a day out of school on a fun trip by simply making honour roll or increasing their grade point average. Our Eagle Excellence Program is put in place to reinforce the daily positive behaviour we see in our classrooms and hallways. Each month a moral characteristic is chosen and teachers and staff hand out slips to students who are caught demonstrating this trait. With a free lunch courtesy of the principal, gift cards, and other various prizes awarded to randomly selected winners each month, we hope to build pride and encourage continued positive behaviour.
There are many activities available to students at WCIS, including the following:
· Academic Challenge Team
· Student Council Representatives
· Class Officers

I am thankful for what we have here at WCIS, and I know it’s because of the constant support from the parents and community that we are able to carry on the proud tradition. As an alumna, I take personal pride in making sure that this district continues to produce productive and well-rounded young men and women. I am blessed to have the opportunity to serve as principal and to see all 240 of my children grow and develop on a daily basis. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the school at 419-562-7529.
